Sewing again, working on the pie of scraps

John fell and broke his ankle, then developed wounds. Things have been very busy. Sewing got put to back burner. Then kids and grandkids came for a week, which put sewing out of the question. But, things are getting easier with John. Kids went home. The house is back together and it's time for me.

After matching lights and darks I made pairs. 

This is a small container which held a lots of 1.5" small squares   I have a "bad" habit of saving the finest bit.

Chain piecing and pressing made the pile get smaller quicker. I also started chain ironing which I haven't done much of.
